AGAINST THE GRAIN: Home Cooking From The Bench

It's safe to assume that many of us have picked our top 3 Pacers by this point (Siakam, Turner, Haliburton). If not, one of them is likely your best choice, but before looking toward the remaining two starters in Nesmith & Nembhard, I'd suggest T.J. McConnell coming off the bench as an Against The Grain pick in this game. He had a double double in their last game in Indiana (15/10) & is simply more statistically prone compared to those others if he's provided similar minutes.

However, if you happen to be confident that the Pacers will win 2 straight (which makes you certified crazy because these Knicks are magical), but don't want to use your best Knicks player just in case you're wrong, then I'd suggest someone like Isaiah Hartenstein who should perform well statistically regardless of whether the Knicks play well in Indiana.

As a Knicks fan I wish you were right. But I am taking the under. Coach just doesn't trust them to let them play. Since Bogdanovic was out almost every point coming of the bench depends on Deuce McBride. I am curious how the rotation will look like for the next game. Thibs is capable to play not only Hart, but someone else 48 minutes xD

I am taking Haliburton if he is healthy enough, Mitchell tomorrow

    1. Your pick plan is exactly like mine, but I'm still nervous about these Knicks. The lack of depth is wild, but I do think Precious and Alec are very capable. Thibs just needs to take the plunge. My hope is that the 3rd guy off the bench is gonna be Alec Burks. I think his firepower helps the Knicks to win this series.

Burks is the obvious choice, even more if OG misses time. I'm afraid it will be a constant to have injuries and scares like Brunson's yesterday with this kind of rotation

  3. Haliburton gets 49 the game after giving me a lowly 16!

  4. Happy for Knicks fans. The years you had to endure.

Just one wish (especially to the media)... when the Knicks eventually exit the playoffs, don't diss on your team. Be grateful.

  6. Got The Joker picked for G3. Am I underestimating the heart of a champion? Oh I just think Nuggets win G3 with Jokic going bonkers. But still TWolves to win the series.

Got CLE Garland picked the next day.
