OVER OR UNDER: Bucking The Trends

Here's my fourth OVER OR UNDER of these playoffs & I have a record of (3-6) so far. Last one was dud, so let's get at least one of these.

LAL/DEN: Jokic & Murray combine for 60 points. I'm taking the UNDER because the Lakers just gotta find a way at home to contain those dudes. They've combined for 60 & 65 in each of the first two games, but I'm calling the buck to stop here!!

BOS/MIA: Boston wins by 10. I'm taking the OVER on this because the Celtics are down 0-2 & the Law Firm of Tatum & Brown always seem to show up right at the point where their season would be toast. However, Miami hasn't lost a game on their home court all playoffs, so this prediction certainly is BOLD & if the Celtics don't at least win this game, these series is OVER.

*Stay Tuned for the RESULTS posted below later tonight.

RESULTS:

LAL/DEN: I had this in the bag early with Jokic struggling mightily but Murray lit it up tonight & hit two late meaningless free throws that ruined my under... (LOSS)

BOS/MIA: Boston shit the bed & lost by 26. Now the series is basically over. Unbelievable. (LOSS)

Current Over/Under Record: (3-8)

  1. Bam’s 50 yesterday was gold for me. Although not happy Celtics now down 0-2. Still rooting for Celtics, but DTTF-wise I’m picking a Celtic next: Brown. Smart after him.

For the West, KCP, then Bowen next.

  2. Jamal Murray living the "And I took that personally" meme right now. 30 points at the half.

    1. Good thing the rest of the Nuggets got involved late. Nuggets 3-0.

Who else is smelling a sweep?

    2. Nuggets have never swept a series before, do they sweep this or take it in 5?

  3. You may have taken the Over on Boston, but they decided they really wanted the Under, and now this series is Over!

    1. ๐Ÿ˜† nice!

Definitely everyone’s best remaining Celtic for G4 pick. My pick: Smart.

  4. The hell is happening? Lakers AND Celtics down 0-3? Really? That... is unexpected.

Now who to pick in games 4? Is any of the Celtics or the Lakers still invested in any of it? This might be the point in the game where saving up a good player yields a 16 in a blowout.

Most interesting now? If both conference finals are sweeps, both teams have more than a week to get up to speed. Both finalists having to shake off the rust sound at least funny. Who would have thought that Tyler Herro would get a chance to play in this year´s playoffs again?

    1. Who would have thought that they’re a better team without Herro?

      Nuggets to Finals. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

Rooted for a Nuggets-Celtics matchup from the beginning. I guess the Heat will have to do just fine.

Got a measly 8 from Bruce Brown, ugh!

99th out of 272 players. 220 points too far from the leader. But just 52 away from top 50. Doable, let’s see.

Got Smart in G4 East Finals.
      Got Jokic G1 Finals ๐Ÿ’ช

    2. Switched to Brogdon as he’s been outspoken criticizing team’s identity. Now he needs to back it up.

I feel I still have a chance to pock Smart on a G5 at home.

  5. Robert Williams III was awful and not only that but the Celtics have a chance to be the first team in NBA to come back from 0-3 with a sudden 2nd half blowout! If they do nobody will have anybody from them and may have to use all Nuggets!

  6. Next bold prediction: Celtics become the first NBA team to come back from 0-3 (in 151 tries counting the Nuggets sweep of the Lakers)

  7. Can't believe Murray's late free throws got them to 61 ruining my bet by a single point. And Boston winning by more than 10? How about they lose by 26. UNBELIEVABLE.
