AGAINST THE GRAIN: Low on Sixers? These are the Fixers!

If you're essentially out of pickable Sixers like I am (I don't consider Danny Green pickable) as well as the two main Mavs (Doncic & Brunson) it may be tempting to pick a Heat or Suns player, but I'd advise against that in the spirit of saving as many advancing players as possible.

In fact there a couple of additional Mavs I'd consider pickable. Dinwiddie is one of them, but boy is he risky given his low minutes & low output lately; however the Mavs have openly talked about needing to get him more involved & I'd be very surprised if he doesn't hit double digit points plus some decent other stats in tonight's game. Me, I'm going with Finney-Smith because he played great 2 games ago in Dallas and will be looking to bounce back from a poor performance in Phoenix. Kidd just loves playing this guy big minutes (around 40 usually) & even though Bullock plays similar big minutes, Finney-Smith's are almost always more productive. I'd like to believe he has a floor of 17-20 PRA tonight, which is good enough for me.

  1. And if anyone thinks the Heat or Suns won't advance to the next round either this game or next, well you're just wrong!! :)

    1. Wow, not a smart pick, in fact my worst all playoffs. He was a complete disaster.

  3. Since I still have Embiid, it's an easy choice for me today. As long as he is healthy enough. Tomorrow will be a different story

  6. smith is too lowball this early not worth picking .Im going against what u say and Im taking a sun 7th game or risk not getting there points Not worth the risk for Smith ir Dinwidee.Im taking Ayton already took Booker and ya the Mavs may win They just destroyed the suns

    1. To be fair, with Harris, Embiid, Maxey, Harden, Luka, and Brunson all picked by a number of players, it was going to be slim pickings. Finney-Smith made sense but he got in foul trouble. For Game 7 though, I agree that a Sun is probably the smartest play as you can get by on a lot of remaining Suns and Warriors in the next round in the Suns advance, while getting good Game 7 production.

    2. its just a game but im waiting on taking anything under 25 average right now.Suns could lose and u get nothing.I took Booker and taking Ayton next,,,They may lose. and I took Brunson and Luka anyone else i can live wihout taking

  7. That's fine Jerry about Finnery-Smith. You took a chance and made a bold pick...I like it! Now...this is where the men are separated from the boys. Will people risk taking celtics in this game 6 even though Boston is a better team? Will people take a Phoenix player in game 7 even though I think the suns are a better team? These next two games will be very interesting!!! Can't wait :)

    1. Is Boston a better team, or a higher seeded team? I am not convinced of the former. I really like Milwaukee. That being said, this is for sure going to be tight.

    3. Why Boston better team ? Bucks are the champs and up a game without Middleton

  8. Checking in at halftime. When others zig, you zag. I chose GA tonight because I thought others ahead and behind me in FP would take Celtics..and I was luckily correct. My theory was GA would play better at home vs on the road at Celtics. Celtics have 3 great core players who are responding tonight like they have all season. I’m hoping for Celtics win in the next two games without using any of them so far. GA has 30 at halftime so hoping for 60+ Total fan points!

    2. Damn Arvo, that's EXACTLY what I should have done. I haven't picked any Celtics or Bucks and thought maybe Giannis last game but because the Grizz were still playing I went with Adams. Oh well, awesome move on your part.

  9. Look at the Mavs Suns score LOL. Everyone is losing the entire Suns roster and has hardly any Mavs left!
