(Not)Guaranteed: It's raining

Welcome to another edition of Guarantees in which I (do not) guarantee playoffs things that can happen in Game 6 in Bucks-Hawks series. So far 40/93 Guarantees were correct and shocking 4/6 from last episode, so it was good lately ;) Let's see what can be guaranteed and how correct it will be after possibly last game before the start of NBA Finals.

Guarantee #95: It's raining! I guarantee Kevin Huerter will make his playoff-high at least 4 3-pointers in Game 6 (I know it's kind of bold, but Hawks need his 3's especially without Trae). [Not correct, he made just 1 three]

Guarantee #96: Make free throws! I guarantee Bucks will shoot at least 80% from free throw line (I'm assuming Giannis will not play as he has potential to destroy this guarantee ;)). [Correct, they made even over 90% FT]

Guarantee #97: It's raining! I guarantee we will see at least 27 made 3-pointers (game-high for this series is so far 26 3-pointers, so it's bold). [Correct, there was 29 made threes]

Guarantee #98: Double-doubles! I guarantee at least three players will have double-double in Game 6 (only Khris and Jrue had in Game 5). [Not correct, only Collins had double-double]

Feel free to discuss in comments your picks and strategy for the remaining games, my guarantees, players and teams performances and also fantasy implications. And whenever you read it, have a great day!

  1. That is a fantastic GIF! Should be an interesting Game 6, the East has been so unpredictable thus far and all the injuries are just a pain. Either way I have all my Suns ready for the Finals so in terms of this game I am in a solid spot.

    1. Exactly, that is why I feel like I have to put this gif in and then think about Guarantees ;) Those playoffs are wild, so nothing is going to surprise me... I have all Suns except Booker and Payne, so I'm happy I survived those Conference Finals and it is nice position for picking good in Finals :D my last two picks for ECF are Okongwu and Reddish, but I don't know order yet xd

  2. I can see a rainbow, it stopped raining xD It's 2/4 for me, without rain. I think I am picking Reddish for game6

    1. Those raining predictions are bold, but maybe at least one of them becomes true ;) but this GIF was too good not to show it ;) I'm probably going to pick Redish in FP and Okongwu in DttF because why not? In eventual game 7 I will go also with those two ;)

  3. Sometimes it´s bad picks, sometimes it´s bad luck.

I had Portis in g4 (14) and Williams in g5 (24). Others could react to Trae Youngs DNP and picked Williams in g4 (34) and then Portis in g5 (33). That doesn´t help :D

From the Suns I have left everybody but Booker and Bridges in FP, everybody but Ayton and Payne in GD. So I should have good opportunities. Time enough for me to screw up the order in which to pick, haha.

    1. I had Lou in G1 (3) because it's difficult to predict injuries ;) at least Tucker in G5 got his rebounds without Giannis ;) we don't have impact on injuries and players' performances, so it can look bad like this after we know results ;)

So you have solid picks for Finals, nice ;) of course still order is the most important and will be difficult to predict the best, but that is beauty of this game, so relax and pick whoever you feel will play great ;)

  5. It wouldn't be me if I got hit lottery picks like Lou Williams and Bobby Portis correctly LOL! LW gave many people 34 and BP gave many of them 33, I got 24 from LW and 23 from BP (still not bad) for a loss of 20 but here's the big kicker, those who picked Reddish got 27 (the same amount TY got) and those who took Connington got 22 tonight I only got 6 from him so altogether I lost 36 or 41 if I had taken LW and BP one game sooner and then CR or PC tonight! Alright rant over my best accomplishment was the Durant pick on his 76 on GD and 91 on FP night (a pair of bucket list accomplishments)!!

  6. Oh rant un-over I forgot Gallinari gave me 10, Huerter 11, Bogdanovic 13 along with the Connington 6! Thankfully I got that 53 from CP3 to avoid the round being a total disappointment! Alright rant re-over now!

    1. This is usually how it works and you can't do anything about it as you have no impact on how players perform given day ;) I picked Sweet Lou for 3 and Gallo for 12, but I expected worse results overall in Conference Finals considering I already used 5 Bucks and 5 Hawks players ;) but now the Finals begin and there is a choice from Suns' players - hopefully we'll do it in not the worst possible order ;)

  7. So the game 1 of the NBA Finals is starting on Tuesday 7/6/21. Glad the conference finals are over. (5 picks in West for 144 FP, 6 picks in East for 91 FP). Now for the finals, have all Suns players except (Ayton and Payne).

For Game 1, I considered to pick Crowder.

Here is the schedule for the NBA Finals:

Game 1: Tuesday, July 6 | Milwaukee at Phoenix, 9 ET, ABC
Game 2: Thursday, July 8 | Milwaukee at Phoenix, 9 ET, ABC
Game 3: Sunday, July 11 | Phoenix at Milwaukee, 8 ET, ABC
Game 4: Wednesday, July 14 | Phoenix at Milwaukee, 9 ET, ABC
Game 5: Saturday, July 17 | Milwaukee at Phoenix, 9 ET, ABC (if necessary)
Game 6: Tuesday, July 20 | Phoenix at Milwaukee, TBD, ABC (if necessary)
