The NBA Finals are here! Tonight, we have the Toronto Raptors taking on the Golden State Warriors. You may be surprised to know that the Raptors have home court advantage in this series. Don't be surprised if the Raptors give Golden State a surprise in this series. I believe they have what it takes with some incredible defense and Kawhi!
For Game 1, I would advise picking Kawhi Leonard. With Durant out, he will be as good a pick as ever tonight. I picked Kawhi in Game 7 on Google Drive (No regrets, that was legendary!) so tonight I'm picking Serge Ibaka. Ibaka has been to the Finals before and I'm hoping he starts strong.

I really hope the Raptors will be a good rival for the Warriors. I said at the beginning of the Playoffs they were my favourite team in the East to reach the finals, and I believe in them. Of course the Warriors are still the favourite for the Finals. But I hope we can have a good series.
ReplyDeleteAbout the picks, I still have Lowry, Ibaka (with Van Vleet or Green as deeper options) from Toronto, and Curry, Draymond, Iguodala from Golden State. And waiting for Cousins and Durant to be healthy enough before it's too late. I would prefer using players at home, but with Durant coming back at some point, I think it's better to pick Curry while he is the main gun on offense. So I will start with him.
Let's enjoy the Finals!
Great Game 1. Congrats Raps!
DeleteGreat game indeed!
DeleteRaptors’ D. Oh. Yeah.
We might have a longer series than expected... I might end up having to delve into the Mccaws and Livingstons by the end of it
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo, Raptors won Game 1! With Kevin Durant's return lurking in the shadows, I'm gonna pick Klay Thompson tonight, while his role on offense is still higher than usual.
ReplyDeleteI already used Klay and Curry, so Lowry for me today. Go Raptors!
ReplyDeleteI really don't want the Warriors going up 3-1, let's go Raptors! #Iwantanewchampion
ReplyDeleteAre you FREAKIN SERIOUS Curry ends up with 30 PAR getting ABSOLUTE ZERO PAR in the last 8 minutes DESPITE replacing Klay Thompson when he came in, Durant still out and even more crazy the Warriors still won! He did manage to commit three fouls! #ACEEE06CURSE
ReplyDelete7:59 Stephen Curry enters the game for Klay Thompson
4:32 Stephen Curry loose ball foul
4:26 Stephen Curry personal foul
1:08 Stephen Curry technical foul (1st technical foul)
After a fairly successful run last year (would have been great if the Celtics hadn't lost a 2-0 lead for the 1st time in their history) the BIG BAD ACEEE06 is back and possibly worse than ever!
Looney zero FP in 10mins of play too. I got an egg in G2.
DeleteNext up..
G3: VanVleet
G4: D Green
Edit:
DeleteG3: Cousins
G4: VanVleet
Glad I pick Klay in G2 before he left for injury in the 4th with 8 minutes left. With KD still out and Klay questionable here’s my picks.
ReplyDeleteG3: Curry
G4: Cousins
Nice! Hit the jackpot on G3
DeleteNailed it! I might switch my pick to Iguodala.
DeleteG3: Draymond
ReplyDeleteG4: Cousins
Naturally the game after I get a 30 from Curry (on GD) he gets past that with 36..... in the FIRST HALF! Unfortunately I've used him up on FP in G1 but at least that was a strong score, however now he's going to get 50+ maybe 60+!
ReplyDeleteIf that isn't brutal enough especially after his 4th quarter egg in G2, I took Demarcus Cousins after his strong showing in G2... naturally he gets just a lowly 6 in the 1st half so even double digits isn't even certain.
It is hilarious how sheety my picks perform, I haven't had a Gold or Green on GD since May 6 and won't get another unless Durant comes back! I almost never pick the same player on both games but took DC tonight due to Klay being out.
