Friday and Sunday Strategy: Pick Pelicans

Tangent here!

On Friday and Sunday, we have two games: Golden State at New Orleans and Houston at Utah. Houston and Utah are tied 1-1, so it's best to not touch that series. There is no reason to hit the panic switch with Houston yet. Way too early. Wait out the games in Utah and see where the series is at heading into Game 5. Golden State leads 2-0, so picking Pelicans is a must for the next two days.

The Pelicans boast five good and usable options. They don't play their bench too much and really rely on those five guys. Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday are absolute must picks, and you need to make sure you pick one of these two if you haven't already. Rajon Rondo has been great so far these playoffs and looks like the third best option. Nikola Mirotic has the potential to put up insane numbers at any moment, and could be interchangeable with Rajon Rondo depending on which of the two you expect to have a big game. E'Twaun Moore is the fifth best option and should only be used after the other four have been picked.

I've got the Brow tonight. Been saving him for this big moment down 0-2 heading home. Probably using Jrue Holiday on Sunday but I'll wait to see how things shape up after tonight's games.

  1. Totally agree. I also have Davis tonight. Better don't risk to wait for game4, as he would not be as motivated if down 0-3. And Davis playing big time minutes in every game, I don't want to risk to injury either. I already used Holiday, so picking Playoff Rondo on sunday.

For tomorrow I have DeRozan. I still believe the Celtics-Sixers will go at least 6 games, and Raptors are disappointing me. I never bet against LeBron, but I thought this time it would be closer...

    1. Me too. This Raptors-Cavs playoff series has been tough to watch :(

  2. You’re picking well I wish I had Davis & DeRozan for these next 2 instead of the PRA I got from them as the comparable guys were as good or better on those days. Oh well! Good luck!

  3. Warriors might be praying Jazz at least tires the Rockets to a long series. Better if Jazz wins.

Really the Rockets are the only threat to Warriors repeat this year.

    1. Indeed. Houston is the true threat to Golden State. They are up 49-25 on Utah right now. Well then.
