ReplyDeleteNext two picks are not easy ones, as I find both series difficult to predict. I prefer to avoid picking best players by now and see how they look after G2. It's funny because I am picking D White and D Green. Also fingers crossed for Green's behaviour xD

DeleteI am actually quite fine with our pick. I'd rather have 17 from White than from Tatum, 26 from Harden, 18 from Embiid or 23 from Harris. Only Brown and Brogdon had decent scores, I prefer not losing any big guns in games like yesterday's

ReplyDeleteYeah, I mean that series is now tied 2-2. It's not like it was obvious to pick a Sixer the day I wrote this. It's a tough series that Philly can take a major advantage in if they win tonight, although I do think the Celtics still win the series & am now in Sixer picking mode. But this particular Bold Prediction column is not to advise who to pick or what team to pick from. I just personally said in a comment I thought it was too early to pick a Sixer, just my personal preference.

DeleteYeah, Tangent does a good job of referencing the difference in this post. I personally let all the new people I helped bring into the FPS league know about the multiplier. Regardless, I typically pick the exact same in both leagues, multiplier & not, which I've 100% done this year and I feel great about my picks. At least as far as my strategy goes that works for me, but maybe I'm just always picking with the multiplier more-so in mind. Either way, sorry you didn't realize this, but I personally think the multiplier along with other modified scoring and the double double / triple double bonuses, etc. is the most fun way to play.

ReplyDeleteHi Daren, like bball fantasy, there is a default format, and there are tens of other formats. We’ve played several formats of this game since 2010, even multipliers (first with ESPN of old) which is our second fave format.
DeleteUnfortunate that FPS interface is counter-intuitive (you can report the flaw to FPS), they should be able to fix that moving forward.

They've already announced that Fantasy Postseason won't continue after this year so I don't think they'll be working on any interface fixes. Too bad it was a useful website. I love Google Drive but you can't run buy-in leagues there due to limited safeguards.
