PRABS Challenge: New Blog Column!

Hi everyone and welcome to the first edition of the PRABS challenge! I'll pick 2 players from each game on opposing teams & predict which one will have the higher PRABS (points-rebounds-assists-blocks-steals) in their matchup. I'll purposely make this challenging by picking someone who had less PRABS than their adversary in the previous game & that will be a hard rule for this segment. With that all said, let's roll!

MIL/IND: I'm gonna come right out and say that Brook Lopez (13 PRABS last game) will score higher than Andrew Nembhard (28 PRABS last game). Nembhard has been looking great late in the season and in the last game, but I expect a big bounce-back from Brook.

MEM/OKC: Lots to choose from here as Memphis played so poorly last game, LOL. I'm gonna go with Desmond Bane (11 PRABS last game) will score higher than Jalen Williams (35 PRABS last game). Bane was a playoff record worst -51 when on the floor last game. So embarassing man, but hey no Bane, no gain baby. He's my pick over a guy I still expect to do well.

MIN/LAL: Obviously I'm going LBJ here. I say Lebron James (32 PRABS last game) will score higher than Anthony Edwards (40 PRABS last game). I could have made this much easier by picking Jaden McDaniels or Naz Reid, but no, I want to make this a challenge. Ride or die with a huge Lebron game.

*Stay Tuned for the RESULTS posted after the games.

----------------------------------

MIL/IND: Lopez 14 PRABS & Nembhard 26 PRABS. Just about the same as the previous game. Lame. (WRONG)

MEM/OKC: Bane 37 PRABS & Jalen 36 PRABS. Wow, I barely scraped by on that one. (CORRECT)

MIN/LAL: Lebron 41 PRABS & Antman 31 PRABS. Got this one right as well as the Lakers win. (CORRECT)

Current PRABS Challenge Record: (2-1)

  1. Kawhi pick went flawlessly last night. Couldn't ask much from him.

Next few picks seem very straightforward tbh.

Tuesday -> Lillard is likely to come back, so I expect a long series here, can't pick from this series yet. Same goes with the MIN - LAL series, obviously. So I need to pick one of the Grizzlies' guys, and my pick goes to Morant.

Wednesday -> Can't pick from the Rockets - GSW series yet, I expect a Rockets win here. If they cannot win G2, I'll pick Alpi in G3 surely. Magic and Celtics play both on Wednesday and Friday, so I'm saving my Wagner pick for Friday (already picked Banchero). It means I need to pick one of the Heat guys (Bam or Herro). It's really a coin toss, both has similiar EVs. I like Bam a tiny bit more as he has more ways to score fantasy points, so my pick goes to him.

    1. Morant then Bam, you have my FPS login or something? You’re going straight from my picking plan whoever you are.

I think both will be very popular picks. Also for me, expecting a bounce back game from Memphis after being obliterated in G1, they should show some pride today. And Bam is my obvious pick too since I already used Herro in the Play-in. I only have to decide if I'll stick with Bam in FP too or I'll use Herro there. But I feel more inclined to pick Herro in a home game later

    3. I may move my pick to Banchero with Tatum likely out. There's a bit more time to pick from the Heat series as well based on the schedule and if I for some reason don't get to Bam, I'm not at all worried about it.

I already picked Banchero, and I'd rather keep Franz Wagner for Friday at home, as I don't think I want to touch the other two series yet, even with the Bucks down 2-0

    1. I had the crap Herro pick as well. But Cade yesterday was nice for me. I picked Kawhi in the wrong game though for sure. It happens to us all.

  4. Thursday -> I guess most will pick best available Grizzlies player today. I'm 50/50 on Bane and JJJ, but probably going with Bane.

Friday -> I'm still hesitant to touch Pacers - Bucks series, so I'm saving Giannis for now. Not touching Lakers - TWolves too. As I've already picked Banchero, going with Wagner here, obviously.
