OVER OR UNDER: The Bounce-Back

Everybody loves a good bounce-back. Time to explore what is likely to happen during this next slate of games based on what happened the previous game.

DET/NYK: Karl-Anthony Town going for 20 points & 12 rebounds. I’ll take the OVER. He had exactly have of those numbers last game so I'm betting that he doubles that output. I mean come on man... that was a pathetic performance.

OKC/MEM: Memphis loses by 10 points. I'll take the UNDER. After being outscored by 70 points combined in the first two games I just have to believe they'll bounce back here with a close single digit game that let's face it, they'll probably still lose.

DEN/LAC: Kawhi Leonard will score 25 points. I'm taking the UNDER. After a crazy good performance from the Cyborg Klaw with 39 points last game, I'm predicting that he will come back down to Earth with a sub-par scoring night. As related to that, I expect Norman Powell to be over 15 points, which is a number he's yet to hit this series.

*Stay Tuned for the RESULTS posted after the game.

----------------------------------

RESULTS:

DET/NYK: Towns with 31/8 so I feel two short in rebounds, but he definitely brought the bounce-back energy. (WRONG)

OKC/MEM: Memphis lost by only 6 so I got this correct, but damn, they were up by 29, what a choke job. (CORRECT)

DEN/LAC: Kawhi only scored 21 points so I got this correct. Clippers torched the Nuggs though. I expect a tough Nuggets performance next game. (CORRECT)

Current Over/Under Record: (2-1)

  1. Thursday -> I guess most will pick best available Grizzlies player today. I'm 50/50 on Bane and JJJ, but probably going with Bane.

Friday -> I'm still hesitant to touch Pacers - Bucks series, so I'm saving Giannis for now. Not touching Lakers - TWolves too. As I've already picked Banchero, going with Wagner here, obviously.

  2. Still have Ja lined up.

With Bucks down 0-2, time for me to pick Giannis and not waste time. Kuzma has been bad for them. At least with Middleton you can rely on bug shots when they are needed. And this team has no D.

    1. I’m waiting on the Bucks. They’re not going to be swept and Lillard isn’t necessarily a must-pick if somehow I lose out on him. I still think I can get em both waiting.

  4. Not as much time recently to write full articles, but I'll chip in some analysis here in the comments:

    Thursday:
With two series tied 1-1, the clear pick is from Memphis. I'm going Ja Morant in both my leagues. I've picked Desmond Bane already in Fantasy Postseason, who played well in game 2 for me. I expect Ja to put up solid numbers at home after being underwhelming so far in the series.

    Friday:
No reason to touch MIN@LAL with the series tied 1-1. I picked Luka in Google Drive, leaving me with LeBron/Jokic for an elimination game. Haven't touched this series in Fantasy Postseason due to the round multiplier. The other two matches are 2-0 leads. Boston is a sure bet to defeat Orlando, so that's an easy pick. However, I've already picked Wagner and Banchero. I switched from Adebayo to Banchero yesterday in order to pick a Buck on this day instead of Banchero. I'm going with Dame Lillard on Fantasy Postseason (too soon with round multiplier to pick Giannis) and Giannis on Google Drive. There's still a good chance the Bucks come back, but there are a lot of close series and those picks will be needed soon. I'm going to make a call on the Bucks losing and adjust accordingly if they come back.

    Saturday:
There shouldn't be a reason to pick from LAC and DEN here, and same can be said for GS and HOU. The choice is either Memphis or Miami, both are near locks for elimination. I've saved Bam for here, but could also go with Bane (Google Drive) or another Grizzly if it looks like a Miami Heat is needed for Game 4 on Monday.

Too many variables to fully discuss Sunday and Monday, so we will leave it there. Good luck with your picks!

    1. Omg you had me panicking with that mention of round multipliers! Quickly checked the free league... phew! No multipliers. You prolly referring to the paid private league :))

    2. Yeah Taong, you should join us in the paid private league next time! The scoring bonuses and round multipliers are lots of fun.

    1. With Morant going down so did the Grizzlies season. I was wondering if their 29 point lead would hold up with him out, it did not so there won't be a game 5 and I don't think he'll be back in game 4.

    2. Such an embarassing 2nd half by the Grizz. Like, win it for Ja you guys; total choke job.

  6. I knew he'd be out for game 4 so I won't be able to pick him on FP because if a 26 point head start for the 2nd half couldn't hold there is no way the Grizzlies will win a full game without him and no head start.

  7. My Lakers are in trouble... but I still have faith.

I expected this series to be a long one. It could go either way
