Well, I've started (0-6) in BOLD PREDICTIONS, but what else is new. As of today, all of these second round series feature a team that's won at least a game so no broomsticks this time around.
OKC/DAL: Kyrie Irving will score 35+ points with 10+ assists. This is bold because he's only scored 35+ one time these playoff (in the 1st round) & do to that while also dishing double digit assists would be quite the accomplishment. I expect him to bring some offense after scoring single digits last game.
CLE/BOS: Darius Garland will score at 25+ points with 10+ assists. This is bold because those number are way more than he's been getting in each category so far in the playoffs. In fact he hasn't scored that many points or dished that many dimes in any game so far, let alone in the same game. I expect him to bring some home cooking for Cavs even though they'll probably lose the game.
*Stay Tuned for the RESULTS posted after the games.
----------------------------------
RESULTS:
OKC/DAL: Kyrie had 22/7 so not quite there... (WRONG)
BOS/CLE: Garland had 15/6 and continues to disappoint in the playoffs. (WRONG)
Current Bold Predictions Record: (0-8)
The Thunders' strategy is to double both Luka and Kyrie. Luka is better at handling double-teams with a pass to an open guy, while Kyrie likes attacking the double-team by splitting the defense, which sometimes result to either a turnover or foul. For Kyrie to achieve this, he has to go back to movement off-ball and cutting, and avoid iso plays as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteBut if I get to pick between 35 pts or 10 assists, II'll take the 10 assists.
I do have Garland picked, so I hope your bold prediction comes true for some yummy PRA.
DeleteGot Tyrese picked the next game.
Had Irving the other day, thought he would go off, and didn't. I was thinking it would be a 30+ point day. It's Sunday that is the tough pick. This year is in so many ways different than any other. Will go back to trusting the process picking for a bit and see where that takes me.
ReplyDeleteThunder coach constantly touching his nose in postgame interviews. Might just be itchy, but....
ReplyDeleteTouching nose
What It Means: What does touching your nose mean in body language? Nose touching may mean a person is unconvinced, uncertain about a situation, or feeling anxious. When a person feels stress or anxiety, their heart rate increases, which may cause them to breathe faster through their nose. This in turn leads to their blood vessels in their nose dilating, causing a tingling or itching sensation. Touching can also come in different flavors:
touching
rubbing
scratching

Deletethey looked horrible. One man team the way they playing.Got Devencenzo today im waiting on other series to pick.Tomorow maybe Allen if he comes back orWilliams or Holmgren
DeletePacers are up by 28 at half which is horrible for all of us who picked somebody from them as we stand to possibly get nothing in the 4th quarter if it stays out of hand to where the starters get pulled,
ReplyDeleteTyrese, 6 PRA below average. I'll take it.
DeleteHowever, it's now 2-2 with Knicks key pieces sidelined.
First three games were close. And this is a blowout. Does this say about Pacers chances?
It says we have been picking from the WRONG team! Even worse for those who made picks in Games 1 and 4 while picking from MIN/DEN inbetween. Speaking of which now Denver has tied that series 2-2 and if they don't lose again this round some people will still have Jokic in the ultimate make or break conference finals round where every game is on its own day!
DeleteNuggets tie it 2-2.
ReplyDeleteNow down to Best-of-3 with Nuggets.
That G1 Antman pick is getting less and less regretable :)
