Dream Match

Welcome to the West Finals, Warriors and Spurs!

When I saw that my $100 will earn $900 if I bet on the Spurs, I'm really tempted to do so. I really think that this year Kahwi Leonard has really ferried this team towards real contention. But, Tony Parker and Kahwi are injured. Without Tony's leadership on the floor and without a 100% Kahwi, I am not sure anymore.

Ah the Warriors... I'll save my thoughts on Durant and the Warriors for the Finals. For they are winning this series at full strength.

Sunday I got Kahwi Leonard if he plays. Pau Gasol if not. LaMarcus Aldridge gets my Game 3 pick playing at home in Texas... we all know this of Aldridge since we have been discussing that here since 2011, right?

Monday's Game 7 of Round 2, I got Markieff Moris. But if you have full strength Celtics/Cavs/Warriors/Spurs still, then I think it's alright to use a Celtic instead... which doubles as an insurance just in case the Wizards steals this one. Isaiah Thomas anyone? Come forward, brave souls!

Good luck!!!

I am going with Pau today, for several reasons:

    - He is not the young Pau anymore, he had a couple off days now.

    - He has been better on the road than at home in this playoffs.

    - I am afraid that fast pace could make Pops change rotation later with more small ball. The only thing that would make me change would be that he already does before game1. But anyway I don't think the Spurs have a lot of chances to advance against the Warriors.

I also don't want to use Warriors if it isn't totally necessary, because I am going to take the risk to play Markieff tomorrow. I trust Celtics at home and I want their full roster for next round. But just in case, maybe I will need Cavs in the Conference Finals, I will save all the Warriors if possible for the Finals

    1. Pau has 10% ownership today, the most.

      Kahwi 3%
      Aldridge 8%
      Patty 7%

      Warriors 6%

  2. I learned my lesson from last year. I've got Kevin Durant today. #alwayspickdurantonmothersday

I think the Warriors will win the series, but you can't save all of the big 4 from Golden State and the big 3 from Cleveland for the finals. The only 4 Spurs I plan to pick are Leonard, Gasol, Aldridge, and Mills, so I'll wait for Game 2 to start. This series should go at least 5 games. If not, oh well, not a big loss.

I'm going Isaiah Thomas in Game 7. It's for the reason you mentioned - I have a full roster of players from Boston, Cleveland, San Antonio, and Golden State, so to me Markieff Morris isn't worth it. I think Morris had his big game on Friday and he comes back to a 10-20 PRA range in Game 7. I'd rather just pick Isaiah and hope he has a huge game. It's a safer pick in case the Wizards upset. I'll still have Horford, Crowder, and Bradley for the next round, plus any other from the next tier of Celtics.

    1. Yeah I used Westbrook when I should have taken Durant. The hard thing this year is that it's not Durant's last series and I've used Leonard in 1 game and Aldridge in the other.

    1. Warriors come back from the dead (again) just like a game in the regular season to beat the Spurs. Had Durant on GD but Klay BRICK Thompson on FP!

    2. That shows how important Kahwi is. With the re-injury, I think that's it for the Spurs.

I am changing my plans. Of course after some bad picks I need to pick different from most of people. But I just realized that it makes no sense to hope for a bad game from Isaiah Thomas and a Celtics win. So I will pick him. I also have all Warriors, Cavs and Spurs, Pau apart. So I will try to pick different other days...

I will never learn. I always regret about changing my first idea, but I will keep doing it xD
