It's elimination time! Don't second-guess yourself, pick your best remaining Grizzly. Up 3-0, the Spurs will be looking to sweep the Grizzlies to rest those aging joints before they tangle with the Heat (or Pacers).
In order of potential...
Glad to have all Spurs in Finals except Manu Ginobili. Now, if only the Heat can finish off the Pacers as soon as possible, that will be good for my Finals lineup.
So, which Grizzly would you place higher?
In order of potential...
- Marc Gasol. Consistent high PRA, relatively.
- Zach Randolph. Yet to breakthrough, this may be it.
- Mike Conley. Plays well in big games.
- Tony Allen. He gets my pick in 1-N-Done.
- Quincy Pondexter. He gets my pick in DTTF.
- Jerryd Bayless. Backups both guard positions.
- Tayshaun Prince. Seven FG attempts in Game 3.

Hmmmmm.... I only have Tony Allen, Pondexter, Bayless, And Prince left. Im planning on using Tony Allen because of his high average PRA.... Im still not sure though what do you think? Im in DTTF btw
ReplyDeleteGrizzlies have two important free agents this summer: Tony Allen (unrestricted) and Jerryd Bayless (unrestricted, player option). Both will play well tonight if and only if they see this elimination game as an audition, especially Tony Allen.
DeleteTony Allen sells himself as a defensive-minded player (even if he was a scorer in college) so there will not be much additional points and assists, but more rebounds (and steals which do not count here, and deflections which are not measured by the league).
One thing for sure, he will show his worth to have more minutes in there as a stopper. And when one has the minutes, it should reflect in the PRA. Who knows, maybe he'll fling some jumpers. Stay with Tony Allen.
I have only used Conley & Randolph from Grizz. Obviously, i'm thinking Gasol. I believe I would be risking a lot taking T. Allen, or anybody else, therefore I will be taking Gasol. As you stated above Consistent high PRA,relatively.
ReplyDeleteYup, Gasol no doubt about it.
DeleteBest Grizzly would be Allen. This is an elimination game so... I'm crossing my fingers.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on Allen for us
DeleteSo far not to good
DeleteZ-Bo 6 PRA at the half
DeleteI used Allen last game. I'm left with Pondexter, Prince or Bonner, but part of me wants to pick Danny Green. I have used Leonard and Ginobilli, but still have Parker, Duncan and the big 3 in Miami and the whole starting line up. So basically for me it's either Pondexter or Green, I'm playing 1-N-Done, any thoughts?
ReplyDeletePondexter's PRA vs the Spurs ar at par with Green's.
Deleteif Finals go 7 games, you may need Green.
I ended up take Pondexter for that reason! :)
