I'm finding it difficult to write a blog with the sour taste in my mouth from picking Damian Lillard across all leagues yesterday as he went on to play 5 minutes before tearing his achilles. Unbelievable! Not to mention I love the dude so prayers up for a speedy recovery!
But yes, desperate times for the Heat who are down 3-0 (obviously they're losing the series) & the Rockets who are down 2-1 despite being the #2 seed and despite the Warriors not having Jimmy Butler for their entire last game! I sit at (0-2) after the first set of Bold Predictions, unsurprisingly. Let's see how this one fares!
CLE/MIA: Bam Adebayo will record a triple double. He was 1 assist shy in Game 2, but otherwise hasn't been close and it's not something he typically does. I also have him picked today, so wishful thinking? My luck has been atrocious lately and can't really get any worse than yesterday, so hey maybe Bam surprises me here!
HOU/GS: Houston's starting guards will combine for over 40 points, but they'll lose the game. I've done nothing but triple doubles thus far in Bold Predictions, so I had to change it up. Green & VanVleet only had 26 points combined in their loss last game. Those guys will def step it up, but it likely won't be enough against this experienced Warriors team at home.
*Stay Tuned for the RESULTS posted after the games.
Hoping Dame recovers soon.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to my pick Bam filling the stats sheet. Could be a gentleman's sweep.
Green is a tempting pick. He's inconsistent, but up for a bounceback.
Firstly, wishing Dame a good recovery.
ReplyDeleteSecond, "Desperate times" sound really appropriate today here in Spain. Total power blackout for most of the day. It really makes you realize how dependent we have become to technology. Everyone searching for radios with batteries to know what happened. Unreal.
I already had planned my next picks in advance after the Lakers loss. Sengun, Anteto and Luka, I guess at least the last two will be quite popular picks
Damn, that’s crazy. Stay safe over there!
DeleteThis is unreal! Lopsided CavsHeat game. Garbage time bad for all our picks in this game. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteThat's something to bear in mind... a sweep game will most probably be bad. Players don't feel the urgency anymore.
DeleteCavs though are ruthless. Even in garbage time, the end of the bench are still playing hard.
I’ve never seen a Heat team look so pathetic. And they looked fantastic in the play-in. I’m starting to think the Cavs really can take out the Celtics. The conf finals are gonna be INSANE.
DeleteI took Herro on FP he's wiped out my gain from Jokic.
ReplyDeleteTyler the “anti” Herro
DeleteNext two picks, players of consistency...
ReplyDeleteFranz Wagner
Alperen Sengun
Sengun time if I choose to avoid a Laker. Call me crazy but I still think the Lakers can come back.
