Two-Two

So the Thunder made it even, and I am not surprised nor alarmed with my picks. It is now down to a best-of-three series, and the Spurs have Games 5 and 7 at home. I still pick them to advance, and I hope Adams will remain active on the boards..

Just take note that the Spurs' Game 7 on May 15 will share the same date as the Raptor's Game 7, so do not wait too long to pick your best players. I have Westbrook penciled in for Game 6.

Good luck!

Shout out to mfari's Google Drive league.  Tangent is leading. I look horrible in that league, but it's worth a look...

Drive & Slam's leaderboard is almost ready, we're just cleaning out fishy picks. We will only display top 500 active members for global leaderboard, and all members for league leaderboards.

Btw, we removed 7000+ bogus and inactive users. The site was not able to handle an 8000-size leaderboard that it crashed the other day.

Cross-fingers!

  1. Hi! For some reason I can't log in on the site anymore. My password doesn't work. Requested a new password multiple times, but the e-mail never comes. Any help?

    1. Hi Taavi, find an old email from the site, reply to it, cc drive @ganaca.com.au

If you can't find any email, you probably registered a mispelled email address. Anyway, email the site with all your details. Site dev will try to help you.

    2. I can't get in either and I have put in the right username and password 100% and the site claims it's wrong.

    3. Taavi and aceee06, check your emails. I had site dev reset your passwords. you both seem have your picks up to 10th May. Hurry up and pick for 11th.

  2. I am changing my picks like I have never done before. My first pick for tonight was Goran Dragic, but I since changed it to Aminu. I am hoping the Warriors will concentrate on slowing down Lillard and that might help Aminu. Why not? Crossing my fingers.
Also, I don´t trust the Raptors too much, at least much less than I trust the Warriors.
Tomorrow it has to be someone playing in the AT&T. Probably someone from the Thunders. I am saving Westbrook for game 6 (or the conf finals if the worst happens). So, Adams, keep racking up the rebounds, will you?

  3. C.J. McCollum for me tonight...

  4. I don't trust either team from the Toronto vs. Miami series, even more so with both teams losing their starting centers. Toronto holds the edge obviously, but can you trust them? Probably not, and no real reason to have to at this point.

Going to pick from the Golden State vs. Portland series tonight. Portland could win, especially with Steph Curry listed as questionable to doubtful depending on the site you look at. However with Portland's miserable 17-29 road record this season, it is hard for me to believe they win the 2 games at Golden State they need to move on to the next round, so with that in mind I am picking a Portland player tonight.

Going with C.J. McCollum tonight instead of Al Farouq Aminu, who I was also looking at. Hoping to see at least 25+ PRA from McCollum, hopefully a lot more than that happens.

  5. Well one of the Thunder's BIG 2 had 14 regular points... the other had the inverse 41! Guess which one I took!................. Yep I wouldn't be me if I took the right player at the right time. Durant got 50 PAR on google and 51PARBSX2=102 on D&S, Westbrook meanwhile became Westbrick and had only 14 regular points on 5/18 shooting, however he saved grace with 15 assists to end with 36 PAR/39 PARBSX2=78 to hold my losses to 14 and 12X2=24.
Tonight I got Luol Deng on google and either Deng or Goran Dragic on D&S but I don't know for sure since I have the same problem as Taavi.

  6. This year is going to go down as the funkiest DTTF ever for me. I got more PRA out of Zaza Pachulia (28) and Bismack Biyombo (27) than Russell Westbrook (25) and Paul George (25). Seriously. What the hell?

You guys all remember Tangent challenging me to take Biyombo at some point in Drive to the Finals two weeks ago? Well, I did it, and as far as the Google Drive league, he was the best player picked. Take that, Tangent.

    1. Well played. Bismack was an awesome pick, although missing out on a 52 from Lillard hurts. You're gonna hope to hope he does similar in G5.

    2. And based on your weird season, a 25 from Lillard upcoming?

  7. Tonight, I'm taking a bit of a riskier approach in DTTF. I'm going with LaMarcus Aldridge. I think at home, he has a chance to put up a really big number. It also serves as a bit of insurance in case OKC takes G5, in which case I can go Kawhi in G6. I don't trust guys like Steven Adams and Serge Ibaka on the road here.

Tomorrow, my mistrust in Aminu repeating backfired. He did. And Plumlee did well too. So it was a big mistake to pick a Heat when both of those guys had good nights. I felt Dragic would have the bigger game, but I was wrong about that. Now, I've gotta take Aminu in G5. I doubt he has the big game he's had the past few games, but at this point, I just need to pick him and hope for the best. I like him better than Plumlee in a game where they will likely be playing catch up throughout.

  8. Aminu was better than I could have hoped, especially because he was better than Dragic, who I planned to pick originally. I am starting to worry, really. Not my first change for the better. I am not used to this.

Tonight, I intend to pick Steven Adams. Or at least I wanted to until I saw that posting from Tangent. Aldridge, hmm? Maybe not the baddest idea. If the Thunder make it like they did back in 2012 and get a win in g5 on the road I am in more trouble than necessary, having already picked Durant and Ibaka and not a single Spur. LMA at home might pick it up again like he did in the first two games.

Especially after what Curry did in Portland, the Spurs might not reach the Finals, so why not start picking one now?

Let´s see, I am still undecided.

    1. In Drive & Slam, I'm not picking Aldridge. Losing the triple multiplier might not be worth it, unless you do believe the Thunder win the series. I've got Ibaka there.

I guess it depends on which format you are scoring with. In traditional DTTF, I like Aldridge, because there isn't the multiplier risk, the only risk is progressively sketchier picks later on.

  10. The system didn't accept my pick from yesterday. Every other pick is listed except for my Serge Ibaka pick from today.

Anyway I can still get that one in for 5/10/2016?

    Thanks

  11. San Antonio still holds the home court edge despite their series with OKC being tied at 2-2 now. Considering they only did lose 2 home games all year, still have to think they at least eventually win this series, until proven otherwise, despite their Game #2 debacle where they lost to OKC on home court.

OKC is always a very frustrating team to pick from for DTTF purposes because the team pretty much totally lacks any talent after the very top heavy top 2 (Westbrook and Durant). I already used Steven Adams in Game #1, and he has emerged as a viable option of late, but he isn't available to me any longer unfortunately.

Andre Roberson is a waste of space, and Serge Ibaka isn't much better on most nights. Still I have to pick one of them at this point with the series tied at 2-2. So I will go with Serge Ibaka and hope for the best, although I will be absolutely ecstatic if he cracks the 20+ PRA mark based on his past record vs. the Spurs (and many other teams). Ibaka is immensely over-rated for the most part, but hopefully he has a career night tonigh.

  12. Another careless and costly home loss by the San Antonio Spurs. That creates quite a mess now, and their chances of moving on to the next round now look bleak at this point.

"Good" thing I just about gutted the entire OKC roster, as limited as that is to begin with. This is going to be a complete nightmare going forward.

  13. Yep I no doubt was the bomb of the night with 10 PAR on google while everyone else had more than double, and even bigger the Thunder won and will probably end it in the next game at home. I haven't used any Spurs on google and only Boris Diaw on D&S so I'm going to most likely lose Kawhi Leonard or LaMarcus Aldridge in each game(whichever I don't use in game 6) and as for the Thunder, I got Kevin Durant, Steven Adams and then........ scrubs!

A couple of days ago it was oh I may lose Kevin Durant or Russell Westbrook if I don't play one of them that day so I gave up getting 20 from Kent Bazemore who was playing his last game and "used up" Westbrook in what was far from his best game in a winning effort. Now two 4th quarter Thunder surges/Spurs crumbles later (along with taking the invisible Serge Ibaka tonight) it looks like I don't even know how to play this game anymore!

Anyone not picking Kawhi or LMA tomorrow? I still think the Spurs will overcome this. But...too risky. I already missed Paul George, and there are enough good options in the Spurs team to use later, I guess.
