Live For Another Day

Nope, I will not be coerced into putting my hopes up for the Knicks despite their Game 5 win. The Pacers have convincingly defeated them in all games in Indianapolis this season and the second round. Last time they won there was during the 20th century. I do not see that changing anytime soon.

At 18 PRA average, J.R. Smith is the hottest pick of that date. He got 21 PRA on his last two games (sober?). His ceiling is close to the 34 PRA he got in a regular season game back in January 10. He is still inconsistent. Anyone who picks him is taking a risk but also hoping for a high production.

At 23 PRA average, Raymond Felton is the safer pick because of some form of consistency that comes with being the starting point guard and the minutes that come with it. He gets my pick.

I wonder what Stephen A. Smith has to say after that last win.

Me? I am already planning my picks for that Heat-Pacers series in the conference finals.

  1. Only one game to pick. My best remaining Knick is Felton and he gets the nod. As most everybody else I would be screwed if the Knicks would somehow manage to become the 9th team to advance after being down 1-3 but I fervently hope that, if they get the win in Indianapolis against a maybe-without-Hill Indiana team, they follow in the Nets footsteps and screw up game 7 at home? Let´s hope that Hill can play and the Pacers will win.

    1. If series goes 7, the Pacers are screwed. That is why the Pacers will give their all to end this in 6, with or without Hill.

My hope now is Pacers win G6, which they will. I still have Paul George left in 1-N-Done for next round.

  2. I've already picked Felton and Melo, who do you advise me to pick? I don't like JR at all, but i don't think that shumpert nor anyone else could do better :/

    1. That's how it is, MadHatter. We pick regardless we like someone or not. Especially that JR is your next best available. He raised his value in free agency when he won Sixth Man Award, but quickly diminished that with the elbow, the partying, and the ensuing poor play. He will be looking to get all that cred back -- he needs that before free agency kicks in.

Pick JR and cross your fingers. That's what you can only do :)

  3. Hey Taong, what if I already used Melo, Felton, and JR? Who should I pick between Chandler and Shumpert?

    1. Hey Sam, Shumpert has sore knee. Pick Chandler

    2. What about Copeland? Do you think he could get more points than Chandler? Chandler has to deal with Hibbert on defense, which might make his offense suffer...

    3. Points yes. Rebounds no. Minutes no.
Copeland is a risk, but with potential.
Chandler is a safe pick because of the consistent minutes.

  4. Good news is I picked Indy from the start and still have every player on that team for the next round.

Bad news is I went Chandler for the final game.... oof. 16 pts. WITH a 2X multiplyer.

Shumpert had a beast of a game.

Hopefully I can make it up this 3X round since I've only used Marc Gasol of all 4 teams.
